STM kicks off 10-year anniversary celebration by “seizing the day.”
Luca Bastianello is Prof. Keating.

STM begins its celebration of its first 10 years by bringing the exciting story of Professor Keating and his students back on tour. The new tour will start on January 21, 2023 at Teatro Superga in Nichelino (TO), with a new cast in which the School’s recent graduates will make their debut.

Luca Bastianello will take on the role of passionate literature teacher Prof. John Keating, played on the big screen by the unforgettable Robin Williams. On stage with him are Nicolò Bertonelli (former star of Tick , Tick… BOOM! and Braccialetti Rossi), Marco Massari and seven STM graduate actors: Daniele Bacci, Linda Caterina Fornari, Kevin Magrì (Gaetano in the Mediaset drama Storia di una famiglia per bene), Matteo Pilia, Marco Possi, Alessandro Rizza and Adriano Voltini.

The show is directed by Marco Iacomelli with associate direction by Costanza Filaroni.

For 10 years, the School of Musical Theater has been nurturing young talent by preparing them to take off into the pro fessional world of italian entertainment, just as enthusiastic Prof. Keating encourages his students to believe in their abilities and follow their ambitions.

“Dead Poet Society is a story of Love. Love for poetry, for free thought, for life. That Love that makes us help others excel, not according to structured and imposedmisocial dictates but by following our own passions, drives, magnificent and sometimes irrational impulses. Following those Yawp that drive a man to fight to win the woman he loves, to perform feats to reach the rooftops of the world, to fight for justice through nonviolence. Tom Schulman has written an extraordinary story of bonds, relationships and encounters that change men at their core.”

After debuting at the Superga Theater in Nichelino, the show will run through the 2022/2023 season at Teatro San Rocco in Seregno (MI) on January 26 2023, and then resume touring in the spring.
